Carley’s GERANIUM
ACNE CREAM
NEW: We’ve
just added a Sebum control. Sebum plays a very large role in the cause of acne.
This can be used as a spot treatment or as an all over to prevent acne. Plus 4
ounces is a good size jar and should last a while.
What's so bad about Sebum? Having too much sebum makes the skin and scalp feel greasy, enlarges pores, and triggers acne breakouts.
Sebum production is a major factor in acne and oily skin. This new enzyme has been shown in laboratory tests to reduce the production of Sebum.
The Lab test results showed that 5% Sebum Control Enzyme produced a decrease in the lipid index in 87% of volunteers, and 73% of volunteers showed a return to healthy, normal sebum levels.
So what is the science behind this? because sebum builds up in the sebaceous channels, this is typically a breeding ground for bacteria such as Staphylococcus epidermidis and Propionibacterium acnes and can lead to skin irritation and acne. Excess sebum favors the growth of anaerobic microbes, which then in turn amplifies the production of other potentially irritating lipids, and surplus sebum also allows for the generation of an increased amount of lipid peroxidase that directly modulates irritation and inflammation. Sebum Control Enzyme regulates the skin and may reduce complications resulting from excessive sebum production and thus helps to maintain a healthy balance on the surface and interior of the skin so that we can avoid overly oily or dry skin
Expect a little sting as it is first applied. You'll know it is working!
INGREDIENTS:
5% Sebum
Control Enzyme which
regulates sebum production and secretion so that we are not just covering up
the problem but are controlling it and offering a solution for prevention. Sebum
primarily comes from the sebaceous glands, which are in high abundance on the
face, chest, and shoulders. After sebum is produced it then migrates into
lipid-filled cells and is eventually secreted onto the surface of the stratum
corneum through the pores. Sebum is comprised of 4 components: triglycerides,
squalene, waxes, and sterols; sterols are the only element that are not
produced within the sebaceous glands. Triglycerides are the primary components
of sebum and are the preferred target for bacteria when inhabiting the
sebaceous ducts.

Hi Steve!
I’ve been loving your Geranium Spot Treatment for years! I know you stopped
making it last year but I had a tub left so it took a couple months to get
through it. Jessica S.
