Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract) Aloe Vera is considered as a natural remedy for oily skin. It is known for its many healing properties, can be used topically or consumed in its juice form. The leaf of this plant has a number of therapeutic properties. It is rich in enzymes, polysaccharides and nutrients which exhibit antibacterial and antifungal action. A natural UV inhibitor, it’s hydrating, softening and intense moisturizing properties nourish the skin.
Calendula: (Calendula Officinalis) Marigold flowers help to balance excessively oily skin. It possesses astringent, soothing and moisturizing benefits. It regularizes and normalizes the production of sebaceous secretions, thereby balancing the sebum layer and tightening the pores. It is well known for its healing effects on damaged skin. Sage: (Salvia officinalis) Sage Leaves are best suited for oily, spotty skin and for wrinkled, sagging complexions. It cleanses, stimulates blood circulation, closes pores and restores elasticity. Sage oil effectively controls sebum and maintains overall skin health.
Yarrow: ( Achillea millefolium) Yarrow Flowers are rich with astringent, healing and soothing properties. It is specially suited to oily skin conditions. It improves skin tone, closes pores and manages wrinkles.

It’s a traditional Ayurvedic skin care ingredient for blemish-free skin and yields a natural reddish-scarlet color that is used in DIY body powders, soaps, and natural cosmetics.
Turmeric Powder (Curcuma longa): Thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits, turmeric can work wonders on condition-riddled skin. It can also help reduce redness from blemishes and calm skin conditions like eczema and rosacea. Turmeric is excellent for acne because it is a natural antiseptic and helps to keep bacteria from spreading.

Look before you ask, no totally natural preservative really protects products from bacteria. We don't like using Parabens. and since we pH balance our moisturizers we are limited in our choice of preservatives. What's great about this one is so little is needed to afford protection.
