We make a decoction of Aloe Vera Leaves and Hibiscus Flowers in Reverse Osmosis Purified Water. This takes several days. Using this top level of purified water means the nutrients from the Aloe and Hibiscus can get well absorbed into the water. We then use this water to make our wonderful All Over Body Moisturizer.

Decoction of fresh Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) leaves and freshly cut Hibiscus Flowers (Hibiscus Rosa-Senensis).

What is the difference between a decoction and an infusion? Both are ways of releasing herbal nutrients into water. An Infusion is the way you make Tea. A Decoction takes several days. Virgin Avocado Seed Oil: (Persea Gratissima) We use the best! Virgin Avocado is double the price of refined Avocado Oil. It is dark green in color and is truly a wonder oil. What I can’t understand is why it has took us so long to use this oil.

Shea Butter: (Butyrospermum Parkii) is dense butter well known for it’s skin improvement qualities.

Emulsifying wax: This is a vegetable wax that is used to combine the oils and water.

Stearic acid: is not an acid, but another vegetable wax. Adds creaminess.

Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol: this is a waxy vegetable ingredient used to give the moisturizers a bit of heft and contact feel.

MCT: Medium-Chain Triglycerides, a form of saturated fatty acid that has numerous health benefits. Derived from coconut oil. Use here changes the feel of this moisturizer. Our moisturizers absorb so fast, this ingredient tends to slightly slow down this absorption to get the nutritional benefits into every layer of your skin. At first you’ll see the moisturizer sits on the skin’s surface, then after just a few minutes it starts to disappear.

Germall Plus (diazolidinyl Urea, 3-Iodo-2-propylbutylcarbarmate) (a vegetable derived preservative to keep our product fresh) Look before you ask, no totally natural preservative really protects products from bacteria. We don’t like using Parabens. and since we pH balance our moisturizers we are limited in our choice of preservatives. What’s great about this one is so little is needed to afford protection.

Optiphen: Preservative. Provides optimized protection against microbial growth while imparting exceptional feel to the finished product.

Natural Essential Oils. Lavender (a light touch)
