What’s in it? (in order of prominence)

Reverse Osmosis Purified Water virtually all skin care products ‘say’ they use purified water. But the real deal is reverse osmosis purified water. This mean ZERO contaminants which means the starting point is pure. It’s expensive to do (goes through 5 filters, which have to be changed often), but it is the only water we use. We use the waste water from this purifying process to water our flowers and landscaping. So there is no waste. Don’t some products use distilled water? Yes but distilled water is environmentally expensive to make (heat is used to boil the dirty water and steam is collected). The problem we have with distilled water is it has a lower pH due to the extra ions added during the process. it’s very harsh. We prefer to work with pH neutral water. To me there is no more perfect water than R-O water. I remember the 1st time we made soap with it. As we poured the soap it was so creamy! It looked like home made ice cream right before it gets solid. It’s one of our special secrets to how good our products are. Again, no one does this.

Chia Seed Oil: (Salvia Hispanica Seed Oil) Virgin Chia Seed Oil is the richest botanical source of 18:3 n-3 fatty acid currently known. That’s great news for nails and cuticles because omega-3s are known to be powerfully anti-inflammatory when applied topically, and integral to maintaining healthy skin and nails. Chia’s skin-plumping, ultra-hydrating properties make it an ideal cuticle moisturizer. Studies show that topically applied chia seed oil can even help prevent the itchy, dry skin associated with underlying medical problems like kidney disease. Chia seed oil absorbs best in a moisturizer base just like this product.

Black Cumin Seed Oil: (Nigella sativa (Cumin) Seed Oil) Black Cumin is known as “love in a mist” and the “blessed seed.” It’s an herb with healing characteristics that have been well known in the Middle East for more than three thousand years. The personal doctors of Egypt’s pharaohs used cumin extensively, and a blend containing cumin was found in pharaoh Tutankhamen’s tome. The Christian Prophet Mohammad wrote that black cumin oil cures every illness except death. In the Middle Ages, black cumin oil was used to treat Black Plague. But buyer beware, not all black cumin oils are the same. It’s a complicated oil. Only the best is grown for, and is distilled to keep, its amazing healing components. The benefits of black cumin oil are too numerous to mention. It is an immune system-boosting superstar. Black cumin oil benefits fungal infections, healthy veins, insect bites, joint pains, scabies, psoriasis, wounds, eczema, even Neurodermatitis, the severe and chronic form of eczema. Black cumin oil benefits nail and cuticle strength, smoothness, health and appearance.

BTMS (Behentrimonium Methosulfate Cetearyl Alcohol) This is a vegetable wax. Sulfate and sulfur free.

Glycerin (Vegetable) Unless a skin care product specifically says vegetable glycerin, the glycerin they almost always use contains animal derived glycerin. I won’t even get into describing what part of the animal they use. Think of everything in a cow and pig they cannot sell as food. Yes everything. EVERYTHING! Put it this way it is a big joke in the cosmetic community how many vegetarians are using animal based products and don’t know it. We don’t use animal derived ingredients because we just don’t know what is in them. To increase their weight, they pump a lot of stuff into animals right before slaughter.

Panthenol (2%) Pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) is present in all living cells in the form of Pantothenic acid which is a constituent of Co-enzyme A. A deficiency in Pantothenic acid results in dermatological and many physiological disorders. It is used in many hair care products but also is easily absorbed by the skin. Well known for it’s anti-inflammatory properties for professional skin care formulations where it also acts as a powerful redness reducer even when used at only 1.0%. Hmmmmm, redness reducer? Anti-inflammatory? No good shaving product should be without it. Problem is… it is expensive. At $15 a pound, manufacturers either don’t use it, or use just barely enough to put it on the label. We use 2%. That’s a lot.

Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol (vegetable wax) this is a waxy vegetable ingredient used to give the moisturizers a bit of heft and contact feel. It also is a lubricant.

Germall Plus (4/10’s of 1%) (diazolidinyl Urea, 3-Iodo-2-propylbutylcarbarmate) (a vegetable derived preservative to keep our product fresh) only needs 4/10’s of one percent to keep our product safe. Look before you ask, no totally natural preservative really protects products from bacteria. We don’t like using Parabens. and since we pH balance our moisturizers we are limited in our choice of preservatives. What’s great about this one is so little is needed to afford protection.

Helichrysum italicum (Immortelle)True Helichrysum Italicum oil, also known as Immortelle, is grown only in a few spots around the world and is unsurpassed in its ability to rejuvenate the look of healthy, unblemished skin. Few skin care products use this essential oil due to the cost. It’s healing ability makes it the king of all essential oils.

Lavender (LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA) The antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic lavender essential oil is beloved by almost everyone, and for a good reason. It soothes skin conditions, bruises and burns, headaches, insomnia and can even help with mild infections. Lavender essential oil will moisturize your cuticles and protect them from bacteria, all the while promoting keratin growth. The antifungal properties of lavender essential oil are effective in combating nail fungus as well.

Carrot Seed Oil: (Daucus Carota Sativa) Carrot Seed oil (an essential oil) helps to maintain moisture balance. It also Helps Kill Fungi and Bacteria and is a powerful Antioxidant.

Geranium (PELARGONIUM GRAVEOLENS) Geranium essential oil is another valuable addition to your beauty care, as it has great moisturizing properties. This essential oil is also antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, regenerative and tonic. It improves circulation and supports cell growth, promoting the growth of your nails. Geranium essential oil will moisturize the cuticles and protect them from infections.

Myrrh (COMMIPHORA MYRRHA) Myrrh essential oil is said to be the best oil for nails there is. Commiphora myrrha has been used for millennia in various parts of the world. Its essential oil has antifungal, antimicrobial, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and tonic properties, making it fit to soothe respiratory, as well as skin conditions among other complaints, and improve the overall look of skin, hair and nails. Myrrh essential oil is a wonderful moisturizer that will help your cuticles and fingernails stay healthy and strong.

Tea Tree Essential Oil (MELALEUCA ALTERNIFOLIA) Tea Tree essential oil is definitely the best antiseptic there is. It also has antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial properties, making tea tree essential oil the best household tool for ensuring your fingernails stay healthy. We only use the best Australian Tea Tree Essential Oil.

Grapefruit Essential Oil (CITRUS PARADISI) The Latin name of grapefruit is Citrus paradisi, thus it is not surprising that the smell of grapefruit essential oil might remind you of an aromatic tropical plant paradise! In addition to being a powerful antidepressant, grapefruit essential oil is antiseptic, antimicrobial, cleansing, disinfectant, stimulant and tonic. Grapefruit essential oil will moisturize your cuticles and stimulate nail growth.

Rosemary (ROSMARINUS OFFICINALIS) Besides smelling gorgeous, refreshing and calming at the same time, rosemary essential oil is a universal tool to have at home. It is antibacterial and antifungal among many other beneficial properties. It improves circulation and the look of your skin, as well as the condition of your fingernails. High in antioxidants, it will help restore the natural healthy state of your nails and make them stronger. Rosemary essential oil is also a good remedy against nail fungus.

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon schoenanthus) Lemongrass is fantastic for nail fungus and the health of the cuticles.

Best if used within one year of receipt. I’ll bet no skin care product you have bought from a store was made within the last year. Most store bought products were made years ago. We find we can better control our quality if we make products as they are used. Fresh just makes for better skin care products. Our families all use our products. We only sell what we would use.

No animal testing! We also get assurances from our suppliers that all of our ingredients are not animal tested.

Why pH neutral (balanced)? This is another reason our products are so different. Just about everything out there for the skin is acidic. In the beginning we wondered why? It used to not be so. Before this crop of preservatives came on the market it was believed that most skin products were pH neutral. These paraben preservatives worked remarkably well. Long long shelf lives meant manufacturers could make huge batches and just store them until sold. Of course they had to set their marketing machine loose to tell us how good acids were for the skin. Because these preservatives required an acid formulation. Since adult acne is a rather new phenomenon, ask those adults with acne how all these acids are working out for them.

Our bodies crave balance. Our blood is pH neutral, to slightly alkaline. This fantasy about the ‘acid mantle’ was made up out of whole cloth to sell these acid products. Think about it: if acids were so good for the skin why does it feel so good to take a swim in the ocean? Which is the opposite. Alkaline. Fact is, if pollution ever turned our precious oceans acidic, most sea life would be dead. So why are we polluting our skin with acids?

So why are we so different? We decided a long time ago, not to go big. Not to sell out. Our business model was the very best ingredients, fresh made and shipped direct to our customers. No retail stores to get in the way and tell us what to do. We are not perfect. We make mistakes. We are working with highly precious ingredients that make producing products with them difficult. If our products aren’t good enough, then we keep improving them until they are the best. We listen to our customers and respond to their requests and suggestions. Our only boss is our customers. Our guarantee comes with no time limit.

Most skin care products you buy to use today, were made in large factories years ago and have been in storage. Everything we ship was made in small batches within a few weeks of shipping. Fresh matters! Quality ingredients matter!

Most of our ingredients are as close to natural as possible. We avoid overly processed ingredients. Processing means heat and that destroys the goodness in these precious ingredients we use.

We also include a free 1/2 SIZE bar of our Natural shea butter non-drying soap with each jar. This Natural soap has to be tried to be believed. It is nothing short of wonderful.

How much? $16.99 for 1 Fl. Oz. (29.57 mL). Should last a while. Free USA shipping.

Sorry but we do not ship to Italy, Maldives and many parts of Africa at this time due to difficulties experienced with their customs and post office. Please be aware: Russia and India are currently experiencing longer shipping times.

5 of 5 Great for dry hands March 13, 2023
Reviewer: Jodi Pursel from Mount Vernon, OH United States
I started using this product because my hands get so dry in the winter and my nails get brittle. It makes my hands feel great and my nails are already less brittle. I have only been using for two weeks. This product is worth it!

5 of 5 Lemony scent November 19, 2021
Reviewer: Michelle Schlageter from Breezy point, NY United States
This stuff feels so good on my hands and the scent is a very refreshing lemon scent.  I have not been going to the nail salon, as I have been doing my own nails.  THis nail and cuticle butter is taming my dry cuticles.    Oh, and it absorbs well like a lotion.  I have used other cuticle creams and they are way too oily!

5 of 5 FAVORITE! February 2, 2021
Reviewer: Pauline Jones from Frederick, MD United States
I have super thin nails that split and breaks in a second.  My cuticles are always dry and rough.  Have probably used every cuticle cream on the market.  First use with this butter I fell in love.  Hope you never stop making it, I never want to be without.  In just a couple of weeks my nails are stronger and growing and my cuticles looks like I just got a manicure every day!
